Text Box: The IHC in cooperation with Zeina (the Center for Friends and Parents of Children with Cancer) conducted a trip for children with cancer and their parents as part of the psychological support program for both patients and their families.

Fifty patients attended this one day trip to Al Zaytona Gardens and Pools in Beit Jala. Some of the patients that attended were current inpatients receiving care in the hospital. Their attendance was made possible by the on-site assistance of IHC nurses.

Some of the children announced that it was their first time to swim or play in water. Because they were born during the second Intifada, all have been growing up in an environment where recreation opportunities have been curtailed and access to water, especially for recreational purposes, is severely limited.
